I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

All .net languages have almost the same capabilities.  Choose any .net language vb.net, c# or any other.  The AdRotator is built into the .net framework classes.  See link below to get you started

I would say if your goal is to reach as many people as possible an were looking to stick with standard languages, I would use the following languages in order.

English
Hindi
Mandarin Chinese

Of course this is the direct opposite of the top 3 in spoken language but would probably have the best effect for you on the internet :)

If you want to reach the largest population possible, simple ideograms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideogram would definately be the way to go as they tend to be language agnostic

:)

That wise crack out of the way ... are you just looking to put ad banners on your site? If so the adrotator control mentioned is a great way of doing this.

If you are trying to host your own ad banner then there are other ways of doing this (generally a .aspx that returns an image saving referrer information).
