OAB generation problems after installing Exchange 2003 into Existing Exchange 5.5 site
I had an Exchange 5.5 site with 4 Exchange 5.5 servers in it. I just installed Exchange 2003 into this exchange 5.5 site. Everything works ok execpt for the OAB generation, which also causes an outlook error when I try to test outgoing mail from a test mailbox created on Exchange 2003. I can't see any of the address lists from outlook when setup with a mailbox on Exchange 2003. I get "The bookmark is invalid". I've checked into the docs from Microsoft and done extensive digging on this problem, but still can't figure out how to fix it. I've tried creating a new OAB, but get the exact same errors from the system attendant for the newly created OAB. I made sure to set the new OAB as the OAB used on the information store. Still no luck. The errors I get in the event log are...
OALGen encountered error [0x80040115] while calculating this OAL. This OAL will not be available for client download. (\Global Address List)
Any help with this is appreciated.
I've already checked in ADSIEDIT and compared legacy DN strings and all kinds of things people have said to check. This is a fresh server install, OS and Exchange. I have not installed any Exchange service packs yet.
Thanks
