Nvidia Quadro 3450 Dual Dual-Link DVI in Windows XP Pro

I have a Dimension Precision 470 workstation I'm setting up for a client.

It has a Nvidia Quadro 3450 and two Dell 3007wfp monitors. The Primary monitor comes up in any resolution up to 2540x1600 no problem. The issue I have is the second monitor says the limit is 1280x800 no matter what the primary monitors resolution is. I've tried both the latest Dell drivers and the latest Nvidia ones. Without any luck. Anyone have any ideas.

I dont believe the video card was designed to support 2 large wide screen lcds (especialy 30 inch widescreen lcds). the 30in widescreen lcd was designed to replace dual monitors. also dell wont let you configure one with dual 3007wfps only a single one, they most likely tyested that config found it not to work so they dont offer it the biggest lcds they offer in a dual monitor configuration is 2405fpw (24 in widescreens) that support a max res of 1920x1200. to try and make it work try lowering the primarys res to 1920x1200, and then see if you can set the secondary monitor to 1920x1200.

Maybe your video card doesn't have enough memory to drive both monitors at the highest resolution. What happens when you lower the resolution of the primary display, does that increase the options for the secondary one? Also try reducing the color depth to maybe 16bit...
From the Nvidia Quadro 3450 specs:
Display resolution support:
Dual Link DVI-I output-drives digital displays at resolutions up to 3840 x 2400 @ 24Hz
Single Link DVI-I output drives digital displays at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 75Hz
Internal 400 MHz DACs – Two analog (CRT) displays up to 2048x1536 @ 75 Hz each

Dual link can basically be thought of as using ONE monitor with two cables to boost the signal strength to the one monitor for a better picture quality and a higher resolution.

Your configuration is two Single Link's and not a Dual Link.
~ So, Max resolution is 1920 x 1200 per monitor in that configuration.
The Nvidia Quadro 4400 and 4500 supports two monitors in Dual Link mode.
The 3450 does not.
