Hi, I'm currently working on an applet. I cannot stand having to manually create the panels, buttons, text areas, text fields etc. Is there any graphical design interfaces out there for Java. I mean things that will let you visually design the buttons, frames, etc....

There are many eclipse plugins which allow you create very good Gui, I think even IBM Tool kit for eclipse has a Visual class editor.

http://eclipse-plugins.2y.net/eclipse/plugins.jsp?category=UI

select the suitable plugin & use it.

also if you have WASD you can use a visual class for this purpose.
