DOES "javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal whitespace in address in string" HAVE A SOLUTION?

I got this error "javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal whitespace in address in string" on my program. I paid for viewing the solution to this error but there is no solution on your web page!
I want to send an email address of the type "John Smith/City/COMP/@COMPUS" through Javamail for Lotus Notes but I can not do it. The error that I mentioned before appears.
What can I do to solve this problem?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, the address parser is not perfect, and doesn't completely implement the RFC822 syntax.  Fortunately, addresses such as this rarely occur in practice, so the real impact of this bug is extremely small.  Rewriting the parser to handle these cases introduces significant risk, which is not justified by the impact of this bug.  This will probably never be fixed.
