GoldMine 6.5 Delete or Remove User

GoldMine 6.5 got dropped in my lap the other day and first Off, I must appologize. I don't know much about it to begin with.  from what I can observe its running on a win2003 server using the dbase option. there is a D licesne installed with a count of 15.

Anyway how do I go about removing user accounts of people that don't work here anymore? Is it even possible?

any help would be great.

To delete a User Accounts Go to File-->configure--User Settings.  Highlight the user.  Click delete.

Before you delete a user it might be a good idea to backup the files in case you want to go back at a later time. The user might have an email or activity attached to their name. To backup the location where the user names are stored;  go to the Goldmine root directory - you'll see users.dbf, user.dbt, users.mdx.  Copy the files and back them up to another folder.  If you decide to undelete the users at a later time you can simply replace the files.

Also be aware of any pending activities associated with the deleted users you may want to go through a territory realignment to move activities from one user to another user. To keep all pending appointments or at least allow for your new users to follow up with any clients that may have fallen through the cracks.  Also after you delete these users you will need to run the maintenance option on your databases to remove them.  As TommyTupa suggested please make sure you go through the backup procedure before proceeding with any of the above mentioned steps.
