Copy Sql Registration info from one pc to another

Hi all,

I have a new computer and am in the process of transferring data from my old computer.

I have a bunch of sql server registrations on my old computer....is there a way to transfer these to my new computer with manually creating them?

Thanks!

Look here:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-124525095-708259637-1543119021-590915\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Client\PrefServers

and here:

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-124525095-708259637-1543119021-590915\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\SQLEW\Registered Servers X\SQL Server Group

I found mine there...export and import registry items at your own risk. :-)

Are the individual servers there?  Did you restart EM?

Hmmm....I'll try to do some testing by running profiler while opening EM on my box, but it may be awhile before I get the bandwidth to do it
