After switch to Active Directory > no symantec corporate icon in system tray.

Hello,

After migrating to Active Directory the local machines now do not show the symantec corporate tray icon in the system tray. Even after running the program "vptray.exe" at the startup of the machine it still does not show. The thing is, Symantec Antivirus is running but the icon is just not there. The "vptray.exe" is also running if you look in the processes but still no icon in the tray. If anyone has any knowledge of why please let me know.

Thank you,

I assume you are using Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition?  If so, you might want to check the settings for the group your clients are in.  There is an option in there for displaying the system tray icon.  If the setting is correct, you may want to remove a client from the group, wait a minute, then add it back into the group.  See if the changes get re-applied properly.  You may need to reboot the client for the icon to show.
