Hi,

Anybody knows what are the possible causes for error: "The transport failed to connect to the server" when I try to send email using CDO?
I've "ping" and "telnet" SMTP server successfully.

Thanks.

Possible reson for this could be your DNS name resolution or Proxy or Firewall check these three and then try by specifying the value with IP address.

Thanks, cherukuri30.
I can send email with "telnet" from the server which is installed IIS.
Does this mean SMTP server is working properly?
The problem may be in the IIS setting. Any idea?

Although I still don't know why, the problem is solved after I uninstall and reinstall "Message Queuing" component.
Just a clue for all that are facing the same problem.

Yes it does happens sometime and we cant figure out where it is going wrong, The best resolution for this is just as you did uninstall and reinstalling
