Just in case someone can guide me how to wrtie the settings using smitty sna following the information below.

BLOW0303 PU    ADDR=01,
               CONNTYPE=APPN,

Which version of Communications Server for AIX are you using? I recommend going to http://www.redbooks.ibm.com and finding the relevant redbook.
