dreamweaver question

I am using DreamWeaver and I have a hyperlink that is blue.  I select the hyperlink and then hit: ALT t r to cange the color of the text.  When I click off of it, the hyperlink remains blue.  How do I change it's color?

Hi dwcronin,

There are two ways to change link colors:

1) Go to Modify | Page Properties.  You will get a pop-up window where you can define the colors of the text, background, and links (active, visited, and regular).  This changes the attributes of your <body> tag, and you will have to make the same change on every page of your site.

2) Create a cascading style-sheet for your site and you can either redefine the <a> tag there to set any colors you like or create classes that you can use to change different types of links (navigation/menu vs body) different colors.  If you are unfamiliar with CSS, let me know and I'll post a few links to tutorials.

<style>
a {
      text-decoration: none;
}
</style>

This will get rid of the blue underline
