Powerpoint 2003 GIF animation not working

Hi Experts,

I have an animated GIF which I need to include in a PPT presentation. The GIF is basically 4 photos with time-delay between each frame.
When imported into PPT, and the slideshow is enabled, the first picture in the GIF displays, but does not animate to the next picture. Am I missing a setting in PPT to enable GIF's, or content of this type?

BTW... I have created a template for my presentation with an animated logo GIF, which works very well.

Thanks, hope this is clear!

The problem may be discussed here:

"If your animated GIF won't play in PowerPoint 2003 it may be that the loop flag is set to zero.  You can easily correct this.  Download and install the trial version of GIF Construction Set and open your GIF file in it.  Double click on the first "block", 1:HEADER.  At the bottom of the dialog check the Loop box and set the number of iterations to your choice (1-99).  Save the file with a new name.  Insert it in your presentation and test it in Slide Show mode."
