Can not connect to domain

I set up a windows 2003 SBC server with domain unionserver.local and I'm trying to connect from a XP machine.
First I tried using the wizard using IP address http://192.168.112.20/ConnectComputer It downloaded some software but give me a blank page. I also tried changing domain name on windows XP machine but cant seem to find the name.
I can ping each other using Ip address.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Add the server to the Trusted Sites on your workstation's IE Options.  Since you've already began with the IP address, you can add the IP address to the trusted sites.
