image gallery,

I'm scratching my head on this for sometime now.

I searched around and found something similiar to what I want but they have a lot of codes (complex) and is very nice but I want a very simple one.

on the stage I there will be thumbnails of a few images lined up side by side.  Above the thumbnails is the area I want to display the enlarged image.  

1.  There will be an external image folder containing images.  So I want to do is when the thumbnail is clicked on,  it will load the external images and display onto the reserved spot for the larger picture. I need this portion for a project i'm doing.

Is there a simplier code for this?  

----This is a FileIO code on a button that opens up a external text file,  and displays the contents in a text box field ("textbox").   Too bad this works only for text.  I tried using this code to open up an image but of course it don't work,  but is did show some weird characters (@$) something like that.

Is there something similari to the obove? it can load images from internal cast too if thats easier.

FOr the images you can use this..

b = new(#bitmap)
b.filename = the moviePath & "file.jpg"

Then you can use imaging lingo or set the member of a sprite to display them
