Is my site listed in the search engines?  That one's easy without the logs.

Take 20-30 chars of unique text from a post that's about 30 days old.  Enter that in Google and MSN, with quotes, and see if it's found.... that will tell you the answer to "am I getting indexed at all"  ... do this on at least 10 posts including some variety if you come up "negative" ... just to be sure.  If you get negative results for all 10, then you probably aren't listed.

But my eyebrows go up on the question for other reasons.

"Be sure my forum is listed in the search engines"...really probably is asking

"Be sure my forum is getting traffic so I can meet goal _______" ask yourself if goal _____ is being met.  Is it?   If not, the initial SEO question doesn't matter that much, and work needs done.

Ok... another mechanism is to create a google sitemap.  When you've created a google sitemap for your forum, you can then review Google's sitemap admin page to see what Google "thinks" of your site.

To make the sitemap, you might want to use a tool like a starting tool for this.

After you submit the sitemap, you can log in to

... and look at spider information, etc.
