Sourcesafe to Svn Migration

my company uses VSS 8 and nobody really likes it now I have to migrate the whole stuff to SVN.

The Poblem is that every migration script or program.

(I tried vss2svn and polaris svnconverter)
Doesn't work with VSS 8 because it is still to new.

Are there any possibilities to migrate the VSS Database with all the history stuff to SVN?
Because the two things mentionend above didn't work.

I tried also another perl scirpt but this didn't work either.

I hope that someone can help me.

I don't think this can be done at the moment - you are not going to be migrating the history any time soon.

Your best bet is to have the VSS repository as history and start from scratch with SVN.

Just check-out the current files and load them into a new SVN repository.

Although you might want to think about the following:

If it is possible to migrate VSS to its earlier version then you could use the older tools to do it.

Have you tried migrating VSS to CVS(NT) - there are tools for this.

Once that is done there are many tools for CVS to SVN migration.

Good luck
Just make sure you do the transfer before Tuesday, because everyone knows that Tuesdays are "VSS Database Corruption Day".
