Primera Disc Publisher II - 'kiosk mode' not working

I know this is a bit of a long shot, but have any of you folks used the Primera Bravo II (or Disc Publisher II) in kiosk mode? It's supposed to double the output capacity, throwing the discs out of the front of the machine after they've been printed rather than stacking them on the other side. The manual is no help - it tells me to select 'kiosk mode' in the printer driver (which I've done but it just defaults back to 'normal' when I print), and it also tells to me to change a setting in the 'robotics menu' in the PrimoDVD software. This menu does not appear to exist, and as I'm just printing this batch (and not burning) I'm doing it straight from the SureThing labelling software. I've tried submitting a support request to Primera, but I get an error on their website when I submit the form. I've also tried the usual combinations of restarting the printer and PC and reinstalling the software.

If I keep telling it to eject from the front, it will do eventually, but nothing I do will persuade it to use both the left and the right stacks to print from.

I forked out an extra £40 to double my printing capacity and am going to be a bit miffed if I can't use it :-|

Any ideas?

have you applied the following?

For PC using Primo DVD:

Go to the Robotics Menu - Options - Check the Enable Kiosk Mode box.

For PC when Printing Only:

Go to Start - Control Panel - Printer and Faxes - Right Click on the Disc Publisher, Disc Publisher II or Disc Publisher Pro - Choose Printing Preferences - Change the Disc Output Location setting to Kiosk (Front Exit). Now when printing only from any graphics application the Bravo will print in Kiosk Mode.

As I said, I have changed the option in the printer driver, but when I print anything it reverts back to 'normal' mode. On the odd occasion when I change this option in the printing software and it does not default back, it will send the printed discs out of the front, but it will not use both stacks as a source of blanks as it is supposed to.  That's the whole point of Kiosk Mode.

Where is the 'robotics menu' in PrimoDVD? It's not on the main menu, and I've been through all the other menus and can't find it.

Yes, I've got all the latest updates. The robotics is working fine - it picks up and chucks out quite happily. I've calibrated and tested the whole thing.

Have you used PrimoDVD? If so, do you have the robotics menu on your version? I think that's the first part of the problem - it's just not there on the version I have (even though it's the same version referred to in the manual).

I've seen it in action.. though don't own one....I was just going through the obvious things in the manual.

Perhaps check the trays for anything not seated properly or has become dislodged?

Beyond this, seems like a friendly call to Primera

Thanks for trying, I appreciate it. I've been through the manual several times and done everything conceivable. Looks like dodgy software to me but I wasn't sure if this was a common problem. I'll leave this question around for a few days and see if anyone else can help. I don't have enough pocket money for long calls to their US helpline, but I will keep trying their dodgy website.

It's a nice piece of kit, despite the kiosk problem!

The problem seems to have fixed itself, and as it may have been down to the advice you gave me (who knows!) you can have the points :-)
