NTBackup Fails To Run - blank backup log

I have a SBS domain with a Windows Server 2003 computer.
Periodically, I use the 2003 computer to make backups of the data on the SBS and 2003 computers.
I have scheduled some of these backups to run automatically.

My problem is that the Scheduler fires off and the backup creates a backup log, but the log is blank and the backup never backups the files.
However, when I go directly to the Scheduler and right-click/run, the backup works fine.

Any ideas as to what is happening?

Thanks,
Slator

Jay,
Thanks for the information.  My problem was solved.

Sure does make one wonder about MS when such a basic process does not work properly.
One would think MS would widely publish the problem.  I struggled with the issue for hours,
never "dreaming" it was a MS/OS "BUG".

Thanks again,
Slator
