Remote Desktop Session Recording

Hello All,

A client of us have a network, a machine of this network will be holding our software, we might need to support them online during the first period after deployment, and since we are gonna use VPN and remote desktop, they've asked that Remote Desktop connections made by us to be recorded and saved into local machine (or their SAN disk, or anywhere).

And they need this to be mandatory and automatic after we login to that machine, is there any existing software that does this?

or is there any other solutions?

i guess that i was wrong --pcanywhere has a host side setting in preferences-->host operation and then you can select parameters to record for playback at a later time.--:)

and i should use pcanywhere, not remote desktop with VPN, right?

unless you can configure a remote recording software on the computer that you are trying to dial into with rd then pca might be a more viable solution----you can launch programs upon connection with remote desktop but that would involve another software program.----you have options--it is up to you

Actually that's exactly what i am asking, a software that runs on the remote machine.

but we should not be able to stop it, everything should get recorded.

well pca will do that with the host configuration that i mentioned. i am not currently aware of any recording software that will work to record rd sessions.

the main reason why this was asked, is to protect the client data AND to protect us from claims of curropting data, so, such a software should be installed on the machine itself, and should run there (and cannot be stopped unless the session is over by logging off), so that whomever log in will get his/her actions recorded, so, i don't think PCA will be the one.

Let's give the question some other chances./

well, ok, but suppose that one of the employees there logged in directly, or using rd ?
would it still work?

It seems that there is no way to do a recoding of all logs to a specific server.
