Lacie external Light scribe dvd rw drive ?

I reside in the UK and I just got myself a lacie light scribe drive ( first one ever ) I was just curious as to what would be the best media to use for this drive ( I can post back with exact model info or w/e info you need ) and also what is the best software to create labels for the discs. I am guessing it only creates black and white labels ( Maybe someone can confirm this for me )

The best quality Lightscribe media is Verbatim.  The best price is the HP media.   I tend to always buy top quality blanks (I only buy Taiyo-Yuden, but they don't make Lightscribe media), but that's a choice you have to make.

Yes, the labels are monochromatic -- although black & gold is probably a better description than black & white :-)

Lightscribe's slick -- I've played with it a bit; but I'm too lazy to take the time to make nifty labels for most of what I burn, and don't like the time (~25 min) it takes to burn the label.

... I may change my mind later this year or early next year when the promised multi-color media comes out :-)

... as for software to create the labels, most of the major label making packages (Nero, Roxio, Sonic, etc.) now have Lightscribe capability.  Just do a Google for "Lightscribe labels" and you'll get plenty of choices.   If a label maker came with the drive, it's probably fine -- at least until you make a few labels and decide whether you want to try something else.
