Cisco 7941 VoIP phone will not ring

Installing a new 7941 phone & it dials out just fine but when I call it it does not ring or indicate on the display that a call is coming in....

Using Callmanager 4.1

Need answer ASAP

if you use a cisco 7941 with callmanager you will be using the skinny protocol firmware version, from what you are describing is there is a firewall between the phone and the call manager box, you need to make sure that the firewall routes TCP ports 2000 - 2002 to the phone.

you can rule out the phone bieng an issue by testing the phonemanager on the same network subnet as the callmanager box.

I hope this points you in the right direction. if this rings true let me know what firewall/router you are using and i will try to assist in the config

I am connecting the phone to the same switch & subnet the Callmanager is on. There is no firewall.

Not familiar with phonemanager is that in Callmanager?

Found the problem, I did not assign the phone to a profile so it was not listed in the group of local phones
