Internet Explorer not loading pages when using the address bar.

i Have a bizzare problem with IE after recently performing a repair install on the system. When i open IE it loads the homepage and if i click any links from that page it will load up those pages. I can load sites from my favourits list but if i type an address such as etc in the address bar and click go or press enter nothing happens. I have temporarily installed Mozilla which works fine but i need to sort this out as i need to use IE.

I have checked other threads on this site and checked Internet Explorers options to make sure they are set ok. I have performed an SFC /Scannow and also tried repairing IE by going to C:\Windows\Inf and right clicking IE.inf and choosing install to reinstall IE from the Windows disk.

I don't know what to try again save from another repair install

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
