hi all,<br />

I am using a windows 2000 advanced server. I am trying to connect to SQL server using named pipeline. but due to some unknown reasons i am not able to do so.<br />
<br />
I am getting following error:<br />
Network error IOException: \\localhost\pipe\sql\query<wbr /> (Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer)<br />
<br />
I am logged on to system using admin account. but for your information this is a hardened machine to some restrcitions have been but on it.<br />
<br />
can some body tell me why am i getting this error.<br />

Logon failure while connecting to named pipe

Windows 2000 is an operating system for use on both client and server computers.
