Setting the field at run time in the nested report

How do you set the text field in the nested report.
I am able to do it in the original dw ( the main report window), but what is the syntax to access the dw that is part of that main one.

Here is what I have to set the field of the original:
w_reports.dw_1.object.revision_number.text = sle_1.text

dw_1 is a nested report that has dw_2, dw_3, dw_4 in it.
If I need to set the "shipper" field in dw_2. how do I do that?

Hi Namik,

To access properties, and fields of your DW in a nested report you need to use DatawindowChild variable:

DatawindowChild ldwch_dw_2

dw_1.GetChild("dw_2", ldwch_dw_2)

// If it's a field
ldwch_dw_2.SetItem(1, "shipper", sle_1.Text)
// If it's a Text control
ldwch_dw_2.Modify("t_1.text = '" + sle_1.Text + "'")

I hop it helps,
