Pop Up

I am having a little problem. When I open a browser sometime I get a message such as "computer is in thereat of Blood Hound virus" and then the browser loads and take me to a website to download antivirus software. How can I get rid of this problem? I have a pop up blocker which works fine. I think it’s probably a cookie or warm in my computer that is displaying the massage. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Eye-catchers on the conference table

Challenge: The i-unit group was not satisfied with the audio quality during remote meetings. They were looking for a portable solution with excellent audio quality for use in their conference room but also at their client’s offices.

You can also try Ewido anti-malware.
Download and install the free version of Ewido anti-malware.

Update first then scan in safe mode.

Here is the full massage:
"There is a security vulnerability from the Blood Hound virus. We recommend that you download one of the security software programs to prevent malware infection"

After I click on the OK button the massage disappears and a page loads with the following address:

http://www.amaena.com/securityworm5/?aid=amr2&lid=alllids&h=4

I think it is an advertisement. I dont think this page is directed by the Windows. Thanks.

Just try the following suggestions above and keep up updated on how everything is working out.

I'm sure HijackThis does this already but you can check your hosts file for entries: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS (open with notepad). Delete any entries there that you didn't specifically add there yourself.

Yeah don't follow the message as this is trying to get you to download even more software or download a fix from the company and/or partner that installed the software in the first place......

Its been mentioned already , but it seems that u haven't tried hijackthis yet !!

It will not scan ur computer files or anything like that, but in short.. it will list all the things that are attached to your browser (good and bad) and all u have to do is check and remove them

Try counterspy from sunbelt software, this has a fully funtional trial and is an excellent spyware/adware removal program..

You might also try an online AV scanner to see if that helps..
