action mappings and the input attribute in Struts

I have the following Struts action mapping:

<action
         path="/SubmitReports"
           type="biz.planet.nidb.actions.SubmitReportsAction"
         input="/index.jsp"
         validate="true"
         name="SubmitReportsForm"
         scope="request"
       />

and based on this mapping I invoke my application:

http://localhost:8200/planetdev/index.jsp

The index.jsp in the URL above seems to be used since index is set to "/index.jsp".  Is there a way that I can use something like helloThere instead of index.jsp by making a change or addition in the struts-config.xml file?  Also what is the purpose/definition of the input attribute in the action tag?

Thanks, J.

what input attribute does is when validate fails, you know where to go back.
so input gives the value to let struts framework know where to go back when something is wrong during the validation.

     sure, as long as it directs a valid URL or page.
