ZoneAlarm and Security Alerts

I just installed Zone Alarm (Free One) on my new Win XP SP-2  PC.  and I am temporarily allowing the Security Alerts open tell me about the attempts at accessing my PC.  The alert always gives a number like: 166.102.165.11 (DNS).  Anyway to figure out what, where, why, who is trying to access my PC ?
Just curious..

You can lookup IP addresses to see who owns them if you'd like: dnsstuff.com is a great site.

The IP you gave is from Alltel.  ZoneAlarm picks the stuff up, but it's not like everything is really an attack, it's just unsolicited traffic that is being blocked, which is a good thing.  Of course, if you do have a public ip, I'm sure your workstation will get scanned many many times ;-)

Great Link. Just what I was looking for.  But which "Look-up" do I use to find the DNS number ?

Thanks for the pts!  I typically use whois lookup, or ipwhois lookup.  Either one will take an IP address.
