Get a telephone number from incoming calls for use in a Visual Basic program
We have a Visual Basic program designed to create service calls for a customer. We have a search routine (by telephone number) to retrieve data for a customer. What we want to do is to get the phone number when the cusomer calls, and automatically execute the search routine.
Hope someone can help
Thanks

Hi, this comment is for bluedevilfan
Thank you for your answer to my question. I have been a little slow in responding, because of another project, however I am back on this one now.
It looks like the (Caller ID Box) from sunny-beach.net may be the answer. Right now, I need to find, if available, a USB TAPI device that will handle multiple phone lines. Any idea on where I might find this?
I will respond further on this question in the very near future.
Thanks again

Hi, Jack.
Sorry, but I can't answer your question about a multi-line USB TAPI device.

Thank you for your interest and responses.
Looks like we won't be using the (Caller ID Box) from sunny-beach.net after all.
You definitely did put us on the right track to solve our problem. I am going to close this question and award you the points.
Thanks again
