Windows Media Videos with wrong colors

When I use Windows Media Player (version 9) to play wmv files, the videos display wrong, vivid colors, like in a negative.

I don´t have this problem when I use VLC to play the wmv files, or WMP to play avi files, for instance.

I have Windows XP with SP2 and a ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 adapter with driver version

Thanks in advance,
