In Filemaker, you choose whether an image file is stored (in the container field) or wheter just a reference to the file is stored. I'm afraid your database will need to be modified.<br />

I chose store a file reference only because even though the pictures were about 150,000 k each, filemaker was storing them at about a meg apiece. The database was in the several gigabyte range after inserting several thousand pictures and I wanted to put about 45,000 images in the database.<br />

Is it possible to use a relative path with a picture reference so that filemaker will look for the picture first where the database was opened from?<br />

When I open Remote a file being hosted by filemaker 8 server advanced, all picture references are not shown unless the local computer also has the pictures in the exact same location. &nbsp;Is it possible to show the images from the server without importing the complete image into the server database or transferring the images to the local computer?<br />
