Trident CyberAladdin-P4 doesn't work with games requiring DirectX 9 like 18 Wheels ofSteel and Prison Tycoon Why?
I have a Toshiba A25-S279 and the last two games my son bought did not work properly. The graphics are either not there or partially there. I looked everywhere for Direct X9 support but can't find it, even on this website after paying 9.99 for a month. It was kind of misleading I must add. Please help me can I get these particular games to work on this laptop using Trident CyberAladdin-P4 video card?

Don't take it too hard sparkmaker. I am brand new at this and if I known I would have split it between the two of you. I thought I clicked on your box but obviously did not. Matter of fact I was hoping to comment back and just found out this was the box to do it in my stupidity. Anyhow thank you for your efforts and if you look under laptops again I reinputted the question like you proposed I should with more detail. Thanks Again and sorry I messed up, on my first shot at it.
No problem , just feeling a little left out. I got plenty of points. The point split issue has always seemed to be a problem as its not easy to find that button.

Most games that require this form of direct X have it on the game disc already and can install it during game installation.
If not this is a microsoft product and can be freely downloaded from there site as long as you have a legally installed XP operating system.

If its something else, please post the problem and symptoms you are experiencing with the game.
To check the version of direct x on your laptop, click-->START-->RUN and type in--> dxdiag and click-->OK
This will give you all the Direct X info on the laptop.
