Is there any way to restrict the users who can send to a distribution list in Exchange 2000?

    Hi DrWu,

Yes, open the properties of the mail-enabled group or distribution list, click the Exchange General tab.

Use the Message restrictions area to configure from whom to accept messages to this group. (Authenticated users only, accept only from, or from everyone except)

I'm sorry. The Authenticated Users feature is only for Exchange 2003.

    Accepted Solution

Only the Authenticated Users checkbox is for 2003. The other settings I mentioned are there; just check the Exchange General tab of the mail-enabled group.

Note that the AD Users & Computers client you're using must have the Exchange management tools installed. The Adminpak-version of ADUC will not display the Exchange General tab.
