pollsys system call, solaris, C language;

Dear Readers,
please help me if you know what the pollsys system call does;
I am trying to understand every detail  of what the following command produces:

                       truss -v all -w all -r 3 -f -a -e  ping 2>&1 | cat -n

   If you could give me a link to something resembling a manual page would be great ! Be assured that I did my best to
   search for it before asking for your help;
   I think 500 points could be fair for such an obscure item (at least to me) in Unix kernel

    According to this presentation:

    poll was used in Solaris 9 and below.  pollsys is the "poll" call of Solaris 10.
