^  Windows XP Pro (SP2)
SamWitney,

download and install tweakui
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

go into control panel, tweakui and then under the network tab
type in your userid & psw
this will login automatically every time now
SamWitney,

haha lol sorry just read the header
Jay_Jay70 - please read the question.

I don't want it to login automatically - I want it to require a login, for security, not bypass the login :)
SamWitney,

apologies dude, am doing like 30 things at once,

bring up control panel and go to user accounts - select advanced - under secure logon there is a require ctlr alt delete tick box, does that help

once again i apologise for my lack of concentration!
:) nope, I need to make XP require the password when coming back from being hibernated.

The password is required on switch on, I need it to be required when it wakes up from hibernation.

Thanks.
SamWitney,

no idea then, mine asks when i come back up from hibernation  i am part of a domain however
