SEO and DocTypes and iframes

Hi,

I'm just re-writing an old site and upgrading it to XHTML, it advertises some Amazon.com products which are displayed in iframes, and iframes are not supported in XHTML, so first of all is there a work around for this?

Also,
Is there a preferred doc type for search engine optimisation? I can't imagine one doc type would give an seo advantage over another, but i thought i should ask anyway

Thanks
Ant

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Where did you read that?

As far as I know & understand, no - especially since a lot of sites still do not use a DOCTYPE
