The gatekeeper function does not exist in 2004 as the functionality to deal with the audio/video splits of the H protocols is now built into the main engine.

lol, yes having isa2000 and isa2004 installed may well be an option. Have to say that I did not think that was a valid approach but just my view :) i suppose you are covered from a licence perspective as you have bought isa2004 cleanly.

it is definitely overkill :)  but to get the gatekeeper function back, it is a valid solution.

keith's solution is what you are looking for - ISA 2004 supports the protocol without a gatekeeper.  you just need to know how to configure it.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/isa2kexport.mspx

this is the upgrade guide, the ISA server can allow inbound/outbound calls based on filters.

Sorry, I didn't make this clear in my first post, the Gatekeeper 'application' does not exist in isa2004 or isa2006. It is dead, defunct; it no longer exists in ISA2004 or ISA2006.....
If you atually want to use the application, installing isa2000 with just the admin tools and the gatekeeper section IS your only option. In isa2000 it was a requirement because the filters could not deal with double natting and other limitations. Now of course, it has all been split out into different servers such as Biz talk, live communications server and so on so it is not a ISA service anymore. the filters are much better now so you can run Netmeeting from a number of work stations simultaneously without it losing the video or audio as it used to.

The link that Nprignano posted will work for you if you want to host your own gatekeeper app alternatively you will need another manufacturer's gatekeeper product.

keith
