Citrix User Session

Not sure if this problem is cause by the user's Internet connection or Citrix client config.

Users are being disconnected if they change from Citrix to a local program installed on their computer, but it doesn't happen all the time.  Some days it will not happen at all and other days it will happen everytime.  I'm unable to recreate the problem from my computer.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

Just going back and forth from a citrix session to a local program should not cause a disconnect.  Since your problem is random and you can't recreate the problem it will be tough to isolate but a disconnect usually only happens when there is a problem with the internet connection (either on the client's end or your end).  If the problem was on your end you would generally have everyone get disconnected all at the same time.

When a users session gets disconnected, are they able to reconnect usually?

One thing you can try is to update the version of the client software they have installed.  Also maybe configure your ICA Keep-Alive time to a longer period.  This is done from the CMC.  Just right-click your farm and go to properties, then go to the ICA Keep-Alive tab.

Sorry, that I'm just responding.  The users can reconnect after being disconnected.  I increased the ICA Kepp-Alive.  I'll let you know if that helps or not.  Is there any rules to what the Keep-Alive should be set to?
