Hi Experts,

I want to stop processing any further code in a ASP page(VB Script) after a specific line. I have tried exit command . it did not work. What is the right command to do so?

Thanks & Regards,

what's the code?

Actually I'm checking for some value in the database tables and value is returned from procedure call. If the value matches some required criteria then I have to show a message on the screen label and stop further processing. The code is in the default.asp page and activated on a button press.

why not display the variable that you are looking for..

response.write(myvariable)

that's the simplest to see wthat result you have.

Response.End will end processing of your script.  You may have to start your script with the line below ...

Response.Buffer = True

[your code]

Response.End

[rest of code not processed]

If one of our comments did help you then please accept it with a good or great grade to close the question.  If you would like more information or if there is a problem then please let us know.

@Pinaldave - I recommend accepting (http:Q_21824895.html#16623539).  It is the way to stop processing an ASP script.  It is my comment but I don't need the points that bad. :-)  Let me know if you have questions or comments.

Pinaldave,

I meant to suggest the comment before that (http:Q_21824895.html#16623533), my first comment.  Sorry for the bad link.
