Printing Citrix - Deskjet 5550

Under Citrix when users login it defaults to their defualt printer only. One of the printer does not seem to work and print out only blank pages. Is this printer not compatible with Windows 2003 server and Citrix Presentation Server 4.0

The printer in question is HP Deskjet 5550. Is there a way that the client printer drivers gets installed automatically on Citrix Server versus me installing each manually?

Yes that printer is compatible... Do you have the EXACT same driver installed on the server as the client workstations?  This is probably the reason you are getting blank pages.

For your question about drivers installing automatically it is possible to have drivers replicate across your farm but if the driver doesn't exist on the server at all you won't be able to automate this.  However for print drivers that are come pre-installed on the server OS you can configure this but use caution as print drivers can cause problems with your server so having this happen automatically might not be the best option.

See page 329 of the admin guide for more info on how to set this up:

Yes and it prints blank pages when logged into citrix but works fine from regular desktop. I downgraded the driver to HP Deskjet and now one can print from Citrix just fine. It is a USB printer. So if all things fails downgrade the driver to a generic driver and it should work.
yea generally the basic DeskJet or LaserJet drivers work fine.  I tend to use them just to keep things simple since most printers we have here are HP
