Windows 2000 is rebooting
One of my windows 2000 workstation is not loading. It starts and load windows 2000 screen then it shows blue screen with some error for less then a sec and then it restart. I tried to read it many times but hard to read anything.
what should I do? I do have windows 2000 disk, should I try manual recovery? I tried that but what command should I run?

ok just tried it and its doing same. replaced RAM from another computer
have u added any new software or hardware recently..? after which this problem is here. Anyways what about SafeMode? Is there same error in safemode?

NO we didn't add or remove any software in last 6 months

More problem I even tried to install windows 2000 fresh install and it does not go beyond where it tries to find old operating system.

this may sound stupid but does windows 2000 provide a diff CD for workstation? I tried re-install windows 2000 from server version CD and it ask for server serial num, where does it ask for if I want to install server or work station?

Thanks for your help. I am getting there. Now I have windows 2000 professional CD and I tried to install this but since I already windows 2000 server on this computer it does let me delete partition , how do I delete everything and reinstall windows 2000 professional

ok this is solved. thanks for your help. I just did a fresh install and everything worked fine. I wouldn't say any specific solution worked but it helped me.
