Auto-Open Download File

Guys,

I am using a kind like
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Programming_Languages/Java/Q_20374411.html

to download file from server.

However, it only downloads. Is there any way (maybe setting the request header or response) that will automatically open the downloaded file in client side?

Thanks
David

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

yes, you can set the content type to whatever the file is, then if the client has the necessary association for that type it will get opened.

Yeah,

I just realized that as well. Just now, the problem happens because I forgot to add the extension to the file.
Thanks for your help.
