Dear All,

Having a slight problem with windows 2000 server at the moment.

There is a directoy called 'Admin' on the d drive which is shared, I cannot view the permissions for some sub folders, is there a way to get round this, as some individual files seems to be affected.

    Accepted Solution

Right click on the directory, properties, security tab.  click on the Advanced button and check the "replace permissions" checkbox.  If this doesn't work and you still get Access Denied then go into the Owner tab under Advanced button and Take ownership of the file or directory and all subdirectories then as owner you can replace permissions as above.
