autoresponder / sequential mailer

guys

i need to put in a subscription on my webpage, which i want to respond to immediately then again in after a week to each person who subscribes.  I would also like to personalise it with the name inserted.

I am looking for an off the shelf or a plug in solution.  I would prefer a one off charge and not a subscription too.

Anybody know of any good products?  I found atomic email responder, but it doesnt personalise (http://www.amailsender.com/responder/).  It is  good value at $50.

Does anybody out there know of a solution?

Thanks for your assistance.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Two awesome products I've used.  Both have great features.  I think that Promasoft has a slight edge in support, but Xtreeme is easier to set up.  Either allow what you want.

have you ever heard of http://www.autoresponseplus.com/ - I have just found it and it is installed on the server instead of pc, which means it doesnt matter if the pc is switched off.

grateful of your input and response

I installed both of my recommendations on Windows 2000 servers.  But this is only an option if you are allowed to open POP3 and SMTP ports.  The load on the machine is very light, so any computer could be set up to do the work.  I can see advantages if you already have a server set up with spare power.
