ASP.NET Pages showing USD $ instead of GBP £! Is this ASP.NET or SQL Server config issue?

Hi I have an ecommerce app I've just moved to a new server.

Now the pages are showing the prices with US Dollar symbols rather than UK Pound symbols.

The server itself has it's regional settings set to UK United Kingdom and shows the UK Pound symbol etc

So is the problem I'm having an ASP.NET or SQL Server config issue?

And any ideas how to sort it?

Many thanks,

    Accepted Solution

    most probably ASP.NET
    and you can sort it by setting in web.config the localization like this:
     <globalization culture="en-GB"/>

    however, this will work if the code uses the default culture. if the culture is hardcoded or even worse the strings are hardcoded, that won't do. but most probably that is not the case.

    That sorted it 100%
