File upload taking forever

We have an ASP upload script that was migrated to Windows Server 2003. The permissions appear to be set correctly because I can see my file being created on the Doc server. However, it's taking 9-10 minutes to complete for a VERY small file with one line of text. Can anyone steer me in the right direction on what settings need to be made to get this working smoothly?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you do a basic windows copy of the file to the Server.  If yes I would say your script has a bug in it.

Can you copy the file to other servers quickly.  If no to first and yes to second I would say the  file server is having a problem.

I have seen this with network problems as well.  MTU size can cause this type of issue.  MTU is the size of packets as that pass through a router or computer.

Can the MTU size be increased?

Generally MTU should be set at 1500.
