WWW in email address...

Good afternoon,

This is probably an easy one...  but I can't seem to find the answer...  why would a user have "www" in their email address?  For example...  "user@www.domain.com"

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

normally you don't do this.

the domain site has a hosting machine that has the Email server hostname with 'www"... that's odd in itself, but that is their configuration.
