Joining new Domain from old Domain

recently changed domains from officeold.office to officenew.office with a win2k3 server.  the old domain win2k has been powered off.  user at the office bring in their own pc's, which are on the domain to user shared resources.  here is my question, when i have a new pc join the new domain i log in as administrator and "this computer" and have no problem joining.  one pc, the user does not know the administrator password.  can i log in using cached credtials of the old domain and join the new domain?  and then second question, if they can join the new domain using cached creditials, can i somehow push down a script for them to join so i do not have to manaully go to each pc?  not looking for scripts.

If the user is Administrator on the box, then cached credentials should work.

Otherwise, you'll need something like ERD Commander to *reset* the Admin password.

If a user of the Admin group has logged in then you can use that account to log in with cached credentials and change the Admin password.

As far as scripts go, you can use Netdom to script it, but without the original server you cannot run the script during logon - it'll have to be done manually (and as an Admin).
