I need some information as to any FREEWARE available tools or apps which can give me a definitive idea as to what traffic is going across my WAN link and from what port protocol,

I have tested solutions such as Packeteer (packetseeker 10000) and Network instruments observer but would like to know if theres any freeware alternatives to these appliance based solutions,

Even if you have a good idea how to query this information another way then I would like to hear it whoever is the most helpful gets all the points,

    >whoever is the most helpful gets all the points

Can we split pts if there exist multiple helpful responses?

In any cae, what OS are you using?  If it's unix, I can provide some helpful links...  If it's an Apple or MS product, I may be less knowledgeable.
