Individual Cell Borders in FlexGrid

Is it possible to define individual cells (or selections of cells) to have different border properties to the rest of a flexgrid grid??  I want some parts of the grid to have a black border and others not.

If it is not possible is there a way to automatically align rectangles to the corners of individual cells so I can draw the borders on manually.

This example shows how to deal with individual cells (it talks about tool tips but you can do whatever you want once you have the cell selected)

Its not quite what I had in mind but there is no denying it works.

I think I am just going to have to change my strucutre as I cant use text boxes for the amount of cells I need with different border properties.

    Thanks for your help
