hp 2100tn rear paper flag replacement

I have an HP 2100tn laser printer that the paper flag spring in the rear has worn out.  It has gotten stretched and will no longer allow the paper flag to snap back into position after a paper passes over it.  In turn, I need to replace this spring and have had no luck on the Internet finding anyone who can sell me just the spring for the flag.

In case there is confusion about the location of this flag on the printer, this flag is located just above the fuser in the rear exit.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

you can try making a spring, or bying a kind of similar spring in a outils shop.
Or look on e-bay for a broken printer, or for the parts

If you're talking about the spring for paper detection in the rear of the fuser, try 'winding' it tighter before reinstalling it. ( In 16 years, I've never seem this happen.) Springs don't just stop working. I suspect your installing in incorrectly.

I'm not installing it incorrectly.  It had popped out before during a paper jam and the spring had started to unravel.  I'm looking for a junk printer for parts at the moment.
Send me your address and $5.00 for the shipping. Ill give you the spring.(used)
